I had high hopes for my stay at the Tucson Marriott University Park, given its prime location near the University of Arizona. While the hotel itself was visually appealing and my room was spacious and clean, I encountered several issues during my visit. Notably, the noise from the nearby bars and the disruptive sounds from trucks late at night detracted from my experience. Additionally, there were maintenance issues in my room that made it hard to overlook the price I was paying.

Rooms
6.0
My suite was spacious and clean, complete with a mini-fridge and two LCD TVs, but I faced some maintenance problems like drawer handles falling off and curtains that wouldn’t fully open.
Service
5.0
The service was hit or miss; while some staff were friendly and responsive, my initial interactions at the front desk left much to be desired, feeling more scripted than genuine.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is its biggest asset, being walking distance to the university and surrounded by restaurants and entertainment, although the nightlife can be quite loud at night.
Dining

I found the breakfast offerings to be overpriced, which was disappointing given the otherwise decent quality of food. Paying $8.40 for a muffin seemed excessive.
Facilities
7.0
The fitness center was decent and the valet service made parking easier, but it was located across the street and my room could have used a microwave.
